Nothing had really made me smile yet today.

 

Getting 2 things on my to-do list done! It was a really good day today.

 

Got my nails done and I adore the color!

Absolutely LOVELY. Pardon me, a perfect stranger, to be judgemental, especially on something so personal... but I find that most women tend to overdo the whole nail manicure thing. I fully understand that it's a personal preference and entirely a matter of taste on their parts (no pun intended). But honestly, I don't see the beauty in long nails especially artificially or freakishly long. I mean are they nails or claws? I have no problems with polish, any color, again, personal taste or whimsy...have at it! <smile> Truth be known, I once dated a woman who had lovely hands who was an actual hand model. Her hands were seen in many publications and advertisements for a jewelry store. As such, she kept her nails immaculate, always polished and buffed and neatly manicured. She told me that the perfect nail length, and I agree whole heartedly, is just long enough that it looks as though there is a drop of paint just about to drip from the end of the finger. The shape should be naturally tapered. Elegant, that's what I think it is anyway. I shudder whenever I see ladies with overly long nails, or even squared off tips...especially if they are long... It's not so much as aesthetics as much as...um... bad experience. Not to sound like I'm boasting, I'm not, but I still have scars on my back from... well... enthusiastic application of LONG NAILS during...<ahem>. You get the idea. So, I am biased, but then it's only my opinion and I don't expect anyone else to adhere to my reasoning. That said... I do appreciate and I will compliment a lady when I see lovely nails on her hands. Thank you for sharing. Again... they are lovely indeed.

Finally being able ton login

 

Finding out that I'm going to be a grandfather for the 10th time.

 

Seeing the volunteers all gather on stage with the performer to close the Easter dinner event. It was really nice.

 

It's funny - even though I'm a born and raised Catholic, which I've since renounced - by the time I was 10 - it syill gladdens my heart to see those who espouse their faith, in so much as believing in the inherent good in people. I just don't buy the dogma.

 

Finally having a day all to myself. I know it sounds selfish but I really needed a me day ❤️
